The Wave has been around for 8 years in the earlier days it was called Sound Wave. But then Rebranded the station. Its sister station has been around for 30 years. you can listen to it on 1170MW but on 30th of september it decided to split in to 2 stations.
The Wave is south wales own local commercial radio station. and it has been voted no1 station. by the listeners.
Next year in febuary 2004 it will be not only transmitted on 96.4fm but it will also be transmitted on DAB (Digital Audio Broadcasting).

The wave attracts a audience of 350,000 across south wales every day. and its aimed at people 15 years and over.Down Below is the names of all the presenter at The Wave.
